Nicodemi's Notàri 2007 is made from specially selected old vine Montepulciano from the estate’s finest vineyards. The Notàri sits between the regular Montepulciano and the Nero Moro in quality terms, and this wine goes from strength to strength under the guidance of the hugely talented consultant Paolo Caciorgna, of whom Stephen Tanzer comments: “Paolo Caciorgna is not as well known as some of the bigger names but he's responsible for some of Italy’s best wines today, almost all of which, mercifully, allow the terroir they come from to sing.” Tasting Notes..Intense aromatic herbs, clove and mace, with rich blackberry, cherry and prune in brandy and sweet cigar leaf. Very opulent, almost porty, but balanced, with great of concentration and intense length. Reviews.."The 2007 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Notari is an intense wine loaded with dark fruit. Sumptuous and rich, the Notari offers terrific length and an opulent personality." eRobertParker.com |
