Since Étienne took over from his father in 1990 he has traded lesser quality vineyards for more prestigious parcels within Burgundy's best sites, including Clos de Vougeot, and his holdings now cover a staggering 15 different appellations! Étienne practices a gentle and non-intrusive Burgundian winemaking style, believing that dense planting for small crops fully expresses the character of his full, rich Pinot Noir fruit.

The palate is plump and ripe with fleshy red-berried fruits, satin texture on the front palate but a little abrasive on the back-palate. Prickly finish with huge persistency.
