The Grivot vineyards in Vosne-Romanée are managed by Étienne and his wife Marielle Grivot – the fifth generation of Grivots to run this elite Burgundy estate.

Since Étienne took over from his father in 1990 he has traded lesser quality vineyards for more prestigious parcels within Burgundy's best sites, including Clos de Vougeot, and his holdings now cover a staggering 15 different appellations! Étienne practices a gentle and non-intrusive Burgundian winemaking style, believing that dense planting for small crops fully expresses the character of his full, rich Pinot Noir fruit.
