Fonseca's house style is one of richness and warmth, and lush fruit intensity. While Fonseca may lack the power of Taylor's and Warre's port houses, and the opulence of Graham's, it is without doubt the most voluptuous, exotic and complex of port styles.
The 1985 is a wonderfully elegant and refined Vintage Port style, rated an impressive 95 points by Wine Spectator. It is also drinking absolutely beautifully right now but will keep for many years yet.
