Les Blancs Gâteaux refers to the white flints that cover the limestone slopes of La Croix Canat that gives this sassy Sancerre its deliciously dry flinty character. And winemaker Annick remains true to her wonderful terroir. This really is top class Sancerre, with great depth of gooseberry fruit married perfectly with minerality and fine acidity to balance. Tasting Notes..Annick Tinel-Blondelet's 2010 vintage displays excellent ripeness, volume, fine acidity and mineral depth, with aromas of gooseberry and blackcurrant. A delightful example of Sancerre and should hold beautifully for a good couple of years. |
