Delamain is one of only a few select Cognac ‘houses’ allowed to declare vintage cognacs, and all stock has a genuine cellar record to protect consumers from misleading practices.
Delamain maintains a tradition of craftmanship that sets perfection above commercial wants, and for over 300 years it has built a worldwide reputation as the Rolls Royce of the cognac industry. It was one of the few houses to ship early landed cognacs into Bristol for ageing where dampness of storage is such an important aspect of ageing.
These ‘damp’ English conditions make for a more delicate, refined drink than the equivalent casks aged in France, and typically display light floral and fruity aromas with subtle hints of wood. The vintage cognacs are produced exclusively from the Grande Champagne vineyards designated as the highest quality in the region. |
