1997 was an excellent year in the Douro Valley, and the Cockburn’s presents an excellent opportunity to taste vintage port when young and vibrant, literally bursting with sweet crunchy black berry fruit.
Cockburn is arguably the world’s most popular port house. Founded in 1815, and now owned by Beam Global Spirits & Wine Inc, with its four extensive quintas, it has quickly become the largest owner of land in the port district.
