Château Doisy Vedrines 1955 is a very rare half bottle and an absolute gem from one of the truly great Sauternes vintages of last century.
Doisy-Védrines, which has been in the Castéja family since the end of WWII is situated on the highest plateau in Barsac and uses the 'Sauternes appellation' on its labels rather than 'Barsac'. Doisy-Védrines is one of the richest Barsac styles, its grapes being picked from miniscule yields to pack a punch, and it is aged for up 20 months in new oak.
Amber rich in colour the Doisy Vedrines is in very good condition for the year.
