Château Branaire-Ducru is a 4th growth Bordeaux estate (dating back to the 17th century), which is very much on the up, since Patrick Maroteaux bought this Saint-Julien château in 1988.
Patrick's wise investment has made Branaire-Ducru (which once formed part of its neighbour, Château Beychevelle) an estate to watch; and its prices are very reasonable in Bordeaux terms compared to so some of its neighbours.
Brainaire-Ducru's low-yielding 35-year-old vines, married with traditional vinification with a modern twist, produce wines of power, elegance and subtlety. |
