We have been following La Clotte for a while now and without doubt this is one of the best Bordeaux 2007s that we have tasted.
Nellie and the team at La Clotte are extremely reliable and consistent in every Saint-Émilion vintage, which is particularly pleasing and comforting when you have difficult vintage conditions, such as 2007; and make no mistake this is a lovely supple and great value Saint-Émilion made for early drinking. Tasting Notes..Wonderful red berry and rosehip aromatics with hints of oolong tea, very seductive. The palate is packed with crunchy berry fruit, mocha and chocolate notes with a lovely fresh finish. Outstanding. Reviews..“...this property has been on a strong run for several years.” eRobertParker.com
“This wine has taken off in quality over the last several years, revealing a deeper richness and broader texture. La Clotte is under most consumers’ radar, and the tiny production of 1,200 plus cases makes it difficult to find.” eRobertParker.com |
