Château Fonsalette Blanc 2002 is Côtes du Rhone by name only – a remarkable and complex white Rhône that punches well above its appellation. A class act from a great estate.

Fonsalette is owned by the Reynaud family of Château Rayas fame – one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s finest producers. And the wine is vinified at Rayas’ famous cellars.

Honeyed, nutty aromas with hot stone and pronounced minerality. The superb ripe palate is layered with white stone fruit and some citrus notes, grapefruit in particular. Well focused, lovely fruit concentration and mineral depth with great balance. Surprising vitality for its age.
