2005 was a great Bordeaux vintage and Cassagne Haut- Canon offers all the style of the vintage without costing the earth.

Cassagne Haut-Canon’s wines exemplify Canon-Fonsac’s slight shift towards more seductive, moreish and great value right bank Bordeaux wines, and La Truffière has a distinct, silky Burgundy-like style.

The château, a rather charming farmhouse perched on a Fronsac hilltop (northwest of Saint-Émilion), commands wonderful views over the Dordogne, and its wines are as charming as its down-to-earth owners.

Rich truffle/ chocolate aromas with aromatic berry fruits and mineral, smoky notes. Moreish mouthful, with an opulent velvety texture packed with mure and raspberry fruit. Very well balanced, enticing with savoury tannins and a fresh finish.
