Château Canon's 2001 is a rich, deep, and concentrated Bordeaux from a very good vintage.

Canon crafts muscular, full-bodied and richly fruity Bordeaux when mature; and it remains a mystery why this wine is not better known, because Canon was certainly one of the top three or four Saint-Émilions during the 1980s, and is showing serious signs of regaining that reputation now after a rather ordinary period.

Château Canon was sold to Chanel in the mid-1990s, and enjoys a splendid location on the south-western slopes of the town of Saint-Émilion.
