Château Beychevelle is a 4th growth Bordeaux situated in the Médoc's Saint-Julien appellation, just outside of St-Julien-Beychevelle.
Beychevelle (which began life as Château de Médoc in the 15th century) is a sight for sore eyes – a wonderfully elegant Bordeaux château built in the style of Louis XV, set amongst beautifully manicured gardens dating back three centuries. It commands an impressive 250 hectares (90 of which are planted with vines).
Beychevelle has passed through many owners in its history, the present being GMF and the Japanese group Suntory, who have taken Beychevelle to new levels of quality.
Beychevelle's wines are typically big and powerful with great ageing potential. |
