Bourée’s Les Epenottes vineyard is sited on the boundary with Pommard, and its Pinot Noirs display a fine balance between the power of Pommard and the finesse of Beaune.
2006 was an irregular Burgundy vintage due to mixed weather (including wet, humid spells), with Pinot Noir outshining Chardonnay (which experienced a fair degree of rot). As ever, in such vintages, knowing your producers is key in the minefield that is Burgundy, but you can certainly be sure of Bourée.
Tasting Notes..Black cherry, plum and fresh fig aromas with notes of violet, spice and musk. Delicious concentration, balance and structure – well-centred, lush and very long. |
